Sailor Moon licensed once again!

Hi everyone,

I apologize for going MIA for so long… It seems that in my absence, Sailor Moon got licensed in the US again (hooray!!!) and VIZ will be releasing the new series on both DVD and Blu-Ray. In the meantime, you can stream the series with two new episodes every Monday on Hulu.com or on VIZ’s website.

The downside is I must stop this website So everyone who were able to download my encodes before, congratulations! Unfortunately I was not able to complete my new encodes of Sailor Moon SuperS and Sailor Moon S like I was planning to.

For anyone who still wants to own the VHS tapes, visit http://www.fansubs.ca and I think Glen will have those tapes up at least for a little while for the time being.

Sailor Moon Sailor Stars v2

As I stated in my previous post, I completely re-did Sailor Stars, and I am in the process of re-doing SuperS as well, then I’ll get to S and finish the missing volumes of R and mission complete!

The main difference between these new encodes is that I am now using a new VCR since my old VCR oversharpened the footage and added annoying ringing around the edges. Unfortunately though, the Sailor Stars Laserdiscs, which VKLL used as the raw source, were the absolute worst from the series. It had tons and tons of blended frames, which you’ll see in these encodes. And unfortunately for me, I didn’t realize these frames were so blended that when I tried restoring it to the original 23.976 frames per second, it left some panning scenes really choppy. I don’t think I’ll encode them at 29.970 fps and release a 3rd version of these encodes since that’s a lot of work haha… maybe one day when I’m really bored

Anyway, enjoy these for now! Keep them for memories hehe

Sailor Moon Movies by VKLL

SURPRISE~!@@~** We’re back 😀

Sorry it took so long, I’ve been super duper busy but I have great news! I’ve transferred all 3 tapes of the movies subbed by VKLL and they’re up for download. I have yet to scan the case insert, face label, and spine label, but once I have done that for the tapes, they will be put on torrent for you guys to grab.

Also, I’ve finished re-doing all of Sailor Stars and they are currently uploading to the server. I’ve also finished re-doing half of SuperS. More updates on those later 😉
