Sailor Moon Sailor Stars v2

As I stated in my previous post, I completely re-did Sailor Stars, and I am in the process of re-doing SuperS as well, then I’ll get to S and finish the missing volumes of R and mission complete!

The main difference between these new encodes is that I am now using a new VCR since my old VCR oversharpened the footage and added annoying ringing around the edges. Unfortunately though, the Sailor Stars Laserdiscs, which VKLL used as the raw source, were the absolute worst from the series. It had tons and tons of blended frames, which you’ll see in these encodes. And unfortunately for me, I didn’t realize these frames were so blended that when I tried restoring it to the original 23.976 frames per second, it left some panning scenes really choppy. I don’t think I’ll encode them at 29.970 fps and release a 3rd version of these encodes since that’s a lot of work haha… maybe one day when I’m really bored

Anyway, enjoy these for now! Keep them for memories hehe

April Round-up!

April is officially over and it’s now the beginning of May!! And we have finished all of Sailor Moon Sailor Stars Episodes 167-200. Now I’m working on re-doing Sailor Moon episodes 1-46 in higher quality before moving on the Sailor Moon R 🙂 I’m also working on the Sailor Moon movies subtitled by VKLL, but I have some bad news about that: the tapes I got are second generation VHS tapes, which means the quality isn’t as good as the rest of my tapes and there’s now way I can get my hands on higher quality versions of the fansubs 😦

PS – I might actually re-do Sailor Moon S through Sailor Stars with a new chain of filters and a new VCR (since my last one really boosted the contrast and sharpened the footage) as well as doing some of the dubs!

Anyway, look forward to the upcoming releases!! And don’t forget to donate! A lot of money, time, and effort went into this LOL

Sailor Moon R volume 9 + 10

Big news everyone! We now have a Facebook page and a Twitter account!! Be sure to like us and follow us. Those are the two places where we will post short little updates on when releases will be coming, and stuff like that 🙂
SMR vol 10 has 2 versions: XviD and H264! Please let us know in our poll whether we should continue releasing both versions, or which version you prefer us to continue with!
